Here is the example on generate old MG3 3 buttons 433 remote control key by using Xhorse VVDI Key Tool remote generator Chinese version. English version now is available as well. Just for sharing…

Generating remote process:
1.Open VVDI Key Tool remote maker, select “Remote Generation”

2.Select vehicle country/ region,i.e China

3.Select Vehicle Make:MG

4.Select model: Old MG3 433

5. Connect VVDI key tool with vvdi mini remote programmer, click on generate

6.Select corresponding remote type, wireless or wire remote

7. After select generation remote, vvdi key tool will generate barcode automatically , take a photo of the barcode

8.Use decode device to decode the remote key with the barcode.

The new generated remote is almost the same as original remote with barcode.

How to Use VVDI2 to Program Key for Fiat Bravo 2008

An old Fiat Bravo 2008 have lost all keys. Most OBD key programmers can only program its remote, but cannot program chip key. Can only write start key.

Step 1: Remove BSI

Dissemble the BSI under the dashboard which is made by Magneti Marelli company.

Step 2: Write Key

Remove BSI and open it, locate 8-foot CPU, be careful to find chip 95160. You are required to read the CPU 95160 chip data.

Solder CPU 95160 chip and read data by ecu programmer, i.e VVDI Prog and save data

You can use Xhorse VVDI2 or TM100 key programmer to write key. For example, you use VVDI2, upload 95160 data just read.
Select region:Europe,Fiat-Bravo,2009-95160, then you will see key number and position etc info.

Select unused key position, follow prompt to insert a brand new 7936 (ID46 chip) into VVDI2

Confirm Yes if VVDI2 ask you to generate dealer key.

Generate key success and generate new 95160 chip data. Write the new data back to 95160 cpu chip.

Re-solder the cpu and reinstall BSI.

Write key success.

Step 3:

Use other key programmer to program remote, i.e X300.

Questions before starting:

Now Xhorse VVDI2 VAG id48 is not ready. so i can’t add key passat b6 or any other vag key with id48 chip?
It programs passat b6 b7 or other id48 cars by obd?

Solution:

Not all possible over obd. Some need read out bcm2, some of them need read out with programmer, like vvdi prog or other.

Some newer Passat with ECU EDC17, if you have condor key cutting machine and with working key,

you can directly do by OBD get 6 cs and use working key get the 7th bytes cs.

If without condor, you should remove the comfort module get the eeprom,unencrypt the cs and pin from EDC17.

Some old model passat with old ECU edc16 ,yes you can by OBD but you must have working key for calculation last two CS No. No need condor authorization for this , condor authorization is only for calculation PIN CS from edc17.

Customer working experience:

Vvdi2 does passat by obd but not on 1.6tdi with pcr, I have done 2012 caddy by obd with it, f10 key by read mcu in cas4 with vvdi prog and made key with vvdi2 , I have made keys also with the key tool, I have done passat from ccm also and some other vag also.

Here is the guide to use Xhorse VVDI2 VAG key programmer to add key for Passat 2013 with VDO NEC+24C64 dashboard by OBD.

VVDI2 adds Passat 2013 Key Guide:

Go to VVDI2 software-> select VW car brand

Select Key Learn->4th Immobilizer system-VW/Skoda/Seat->Auto detect type
VVDI2 read VIN ECU and dash type: NEC+24C64

Click on Diagnosis

Click on Read EEPROM/FLASH
Select Read eeprom, click on Next

Turn ignition to ON position (If it is smart key, turn ignition OFF then turn it ON)

Dash instrument screen is in black, it is normal

Follow VVDI2 key programmer prompts:

1.Dashboard is in black, complete following steps to activate the dash:

2.Read and save eeprom data

3.Read and save IMMO data

4.Generate a dealer key (if has working key and does not need to add a key, skip to Step 7)

5. Reset dash

6.Key learning from immo data

7. Other functions

Click on Generate Dealer Key

Choose car manufacture->VW

Select Add key

(Make sure you have backup both eeprom and immo data)

Select 2nd option to do key learning and enter key numbers to to learned
click on Next

Turn ignition to ON position (If it is smart key, turn ignition OFF then turn it ON)
Confirm if it is smart key

If the dash display 1-2, insert next key into VVDI2’s coil

Insert second key within 5 seconds, turn ignition ON for 2 seconds, dash displays 2-2

Key Learning success

Start engine with the new key.

Done!

How to renew EIS with VVDI MB BGA Tool 3.0.0? I have key! But on key-pcb only bga mcu… stuck here, what should I do next?

Solution:

You need to get the “Key Password” for that EIS and paste it where it says.

So online key password calculation. Need order 1Token for VVDI MB BGA Tool Password Calculation
Then read EIS “OBD not IR” press get erase pass and wait, paste key pass and save file.
Next press renew EIS but this on “IR not OBD”.

For Audi A6L 4th generation immobilizer vehicles, if you get the new key from dealer,when you use VVDI2 VAG to program this key, transponder and remote will auto programming at the same time.

If you use Xhorse A6 new key(xhorse a6 new key with 8E transponder,not A6L type wireless remote with NXP transponder, you can check the transponder type)

After you key learn success,you need to 'read J518 EEPROM dump with working key'---load this dump to 'make OEM key remote' for programming remote.

Q: Where can i buy this Xhorse A6 key with E8 transponder??
